Did Drogba actually convert to Islam?

Websites and social media platforms published news that spread like wildfire about former Ivorian star Didier Drogba converting to Islam.

And the first to publish the news was a page of Dr. Mohamed Salah, who introduces himself as an Islamic preacher, lives in the American city of Texas, and is followed by more than a million people on his official Facebook page.

The page published pictures of Drogba, his hands in the supplication position, and attached a comment, "There is news circulating that Drogba has converted to Islam."

After these pictures and publications invaded the pages of communication sites, the former captain of the Ivory Coast national team went out to deny his conversion to Islam - in a tweet on his official account on Twitter - and says, "The story spread quickly, but I did not change my religion .. This was just respect for my Muslim brothers whom I used to visit in My village. A moment of togetherness. Lots of love and blessings to all."

And Drogba's page on the communication sites published pictures of him visiting his village, and he received a great and distinguished reception, as well as popular and official honors.
