The management of the Spanish club Barcelona began studying the options available to it in order to overcome the “potential” crisis in the event that the European Football Association “UEFA” (UEFA) decided to deprive the “Blaugrana” from participating in the European championships in the next season (2023-2024), on the grounds of his accusation. Barcelona is facing charges of corruption and paying “suspicious” sums of money to Jose Maria Enriquez Negrera, former vice-chairman of the Referees Committee in Spain, in exchange for consulting services.
And if Barcelona is found guilty in this case, the "Catalan" club will be denied participation in the next edition of the Champions League, and may face similar penalties from the Spanish League, according to the Spanish newspaper "Marca".
As a result, the Barcelona administration is currently studying several proposals to participate in other tournaments outside the borders of the European continent.
Among these options is playing friendly matches that would make good profits for the club and compensate even part of its losses as a result of the denial of European participation.
According to the newspaper, the Barcelona administration will also not mind going to any "Asian" tournament and participating in it under the name "guest".
